Radical Resection of the Third Portion of the Duodenum for Secondary Aortoduodenal Fistula

Carcinoembryonic Antigen Messenger RNA in Pelvic Lavage Fluid Predicts Local Recurrence After Curative‐Intent Resection of Rectal Cancer

Pelvic lavage carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) mRNA was quantified in 178 patients undergoing curative‐intent resection for rectal cancer. Positive pelvic lavage CEA mRNA was significantly associated with local recurrence and provided additional prognostic information beyond circumferential resection margin (CRM) status.

Age‐associated immune dysregulation links to disease severity in macrolide‐resistant Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia: Insights from a comparative juvenile–adult mouse model

Macrolide‐resistant Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MRMP) infected both juvenile and adult mice, with results compared to normal juvenile mice. The findings revealed comparable bacterial loads between juvenile and adult mice, yet juvenile mice exhibited more severe lung damage and elevated levels of inflammatory cytokines.

Enhancing surveillance of cryptosporidiosis: test all faecal specimens from children.

The heightened risk of waterborne cryptosporidiosis, associated with heavy rainfall in autumn 2000, prompted us to survey laboratory practice in the South East Region of England in testing faecal specimens for Cryptosporidium spp. oocysts and reporting to the Public Health Laboratory Service Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre (PHLS CDSC).

LSPR biosensing enables rapid, sensitive, and low‐sample‐volume detection of biomarkers, with broad applications in diagnosing cancer, infectious, and chronic diseases.
