TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Susceptible workload evaluation and protection using selective fault tolerance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Low power fault tolerance design techniques trade reliability to reduce the area cost and the power overhead of integrated circuits by protecting only a subset of their workload or their most vulnerable parts.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

In vitro and In vivo Management of Bacterial Blight (Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. cyamopsidis) of Clusterbean

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Microbiology
Bacterial Blight of clusterbean(BLB), which is brought on by Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. cyamopsis, is a significant disease that causes severe infestation, resulting in losses of 58-68% of seed production.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE MOTHER SPOROCYST OF SCHISTOSOMA MANSONI IN THE SUSCEPTIBLE AND RESISTANT SNAILS OF BIOMPHALARIA GLABRATA [PDF]

open access: yesPakistan Veterinary Journal, 2007
The comparative studies of the susceptible and resistant snails of Biomphalaria glabrata mass exposed to miracidia of Schistosoma mansoni were conducted from 1 to10 days post-exposure (DPE). Histological sections of 50 susceptible and 50 resistant snails

Chlorotoluron metabolism in resistant and susceptible biotypes of the grass weed Alopecurus mysuroides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The metabolism of the herbicide chlorotoluron by susceptible and resistant biotypes of the grass weed, Alopecurus myosuroides, was examined. After administration of radiolabelled herbicide to leaves, metabolites were extracted and analysed.
