Codling moth populations less susceptible to CpGV: What about higher concentrations? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In an organic orchard with a codling moth (CM) population less susceptible to CpGV it was tested, whether an increased dosage of CpGV by factor 10 would result in any increased efficacy.

COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE MOTHER SPOROCYST OF SCHISTOSOMA MANSONI IN THE SUSCEPTIBLE AND RESISTANT SNAILS OF BIOMPHALARIA GLABRATA [PDF]

open access: yesPakistan Veterinary Journal, 2007
The comparative studies of the susceptible and resistant snails of Biomphalaria glabrata mass exposed to miracidia of Schistosoma mansoni were conducted from 1 to10 days post-exposure (DPE). Histological sections of 50 susceptible and 50 resistant snails

Seedling and adult plant resistance to Pyricularia oryzae in Ethiopian rice cultivars

open access: yesActa Universitatis Sapientiae: Agriculture and Environment, 2020
Two separate experiments were done for seedling and adult resistance in rice varieties against blast. Each experiment consists of 20 varieties and is evaluated under artificial inoculation with blast.

Malathion Resistance in Larvae of Some Southern Minnesota Populations of the Indianmeal Moth,\u3ci\u3e Plodia Interpunctella\u3c/i\u3e (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae), Infesting Bulk-Stored Shelled Corn [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Larvae of 21 field collected populations of the Indianmeal moth, Plodia interpunctella, infesting stored shelled corn in southern Minnesota were tested for their susceptibility to malathion in the laboratory.

Epidemics on contact networks: a general stochastic approach

open access: yes, 2011
Dynamics on networks is considered from the perspective of Markov stochastic processes. We partially describe the state of the system through network motifs and infer any missing data using the available information. This versatile approach is especially

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE OF BACTERIAL AGENTS OF THE UPPER RESPIRATORY TRACT IN SOUTH INDIAN POPULATION [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology & Research, 2010
The study was aimed at determining bacterial agents of the upper respiratory tract and the susceptibility patterns of isolates to antibiotics. The throat swab samples from 250 patients suspected of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) were obtained ...

Variational approximations for stochastic dynamics on graphs

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate different mean-field-like approximations for stochastic dynamics on graphs, within the framework of a cluster-variational approach. In analogy with its equilibrium counterpart, this approach allows one to give a unified view of various ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
