A Lagrange-D'Alembert formulation of the equations of motion of a helicopter carrying an externally suspended load [PDF]
The exact nonlinear equations of motion are derived for a helicopter with an extenal load suspended by fore and aft, rigid-link cables. Lagrange's form of D'Alembert's principle is used.

Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Suspended Solids Concentrations in Tributaries to the Great Bay Estuary Watershed in 2009 [PDF]
Nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment loads to the Great Bay Estuary are a growing concern. The Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership (PREP) calculates the nitrogen load from tributaries to the Great Bay Estuary for its State of the Estuaries reports ...

ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Occurrence of metolachlor and trifluralin losses in the Save river agricultural catchment during floods [PDF]
Rising pesticide levels in streams draining intensively managed agricultural land have a detrimental effect on aquatic ecosystems and render water unfit for human consumption.

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Correlation of ERTS multispectral imagery with suspended matter and chlorophyll in lower Chesapeake Bay [PDF]
The feasibility of using multispectral satellite imagery to monitor the characteristics of estuarine waters is being investigated. Preliminary comparisons of MSS imagery with suspended matter concentrations, particle counts, chlorophyll, transmittance ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

The Use of Suspended Sediment Rating Curves In Malaysia Some Preliminary Considerations [PDF]
The suspended sediment rating curve technique is the most common method of estimating river suspended sediment loads in Malaysia. Thus, despite its crudeness, adherence to the correct Procedure of this technique is very imp0rtant.

Late Holocene erosion in NW Anatolia from sediments of Lake Manyas, Lake Ulubat and the southern shelf of the Marmara Sea, Turkey [PDF]
This paper deals with modern and ancient sedimentation in fresh water lakes and the marine shelf of the southern Marmara region, NW Anatolia, Turkey. Most of the information has been obtained from monitoring of suspended load discharged into two lakes ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...
