NRASQ61R Expression in Lymphatic Endothelial Cells Causes Enlarged Vessels, Hemorrhagic Chylous Effusions, and High Mortality in a Mouse Model of Kaposiform Lymphangiomatosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Kaposiform lymphangiomatosis (KLA) is an aggressive complex lymphatic anomaly. Patients exhibit malformed lymphatic vessels and often develop hemorrhagic effusions and elevated angiopoietin‐2 (Ang‐2) levels. A somatic NRAS p.Q61R (NRASQ61R) mutation has been associated with KLA.

Post-(sustainable) development?

open access: yesInternational Journal of Global Environmental Issues, 2008
AbstractThe past 15 years have witnessed the rise of post‐development theory as a means of understanding the development discourse since the 1940s. Post‐development argues that intentional development (as distinct from immanent development – what people are doing anyway) is a construct of Western hegemony.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
