Study on mixed lubrication characteristics of piston/cylinder interface of variable length
Aiming at the lubrication problem of piston/cylinder interface of variable length, a two-dimensional mixed lubrication model was established. This model considers the adaptive eccentricity and the force balance of the piston.

Boundary layer dynamics in the swash zone under large-scale laboratory conditions [PDF]
This paper presents the results of a laboratory experiment of swash hydrodynamics on a coarse sand barrier beach backed by a lagoon. Boundary layer dynamics have been analyzed using the high-resolution near-bed velocities measured by Acoustic Doppler ...

Splatshop: Efficiently Editing Large Gaussian Splat Models
Abstract We present Splatshop, a highly optimized toolbox for interactive editing (selection, deletion, painting, transformation, …) of 3D Gaussian Splatting models. Utilizing a comprehensive collection of heuristic approaches, we carefully balance between exact and fast rendering to enable precise editing without sacrificing real‐time performance. Our

Research on Quasi-Synchronous Grid-Connected Control of Hydraulic Wind Turbine
The hydraulic wind turbine(HWT) is taken as the research object. To realize the quasi-synchronized safe connection of the HWT, the mathematical model of the fixed displacement pump - variable motor is first established, and the multiplicative ...

Beach face dynamics as affected by ground water table elevations [PDF]
This report presents the results of laboratory studies which were carried out in the Coastal and Oceanographical Engineering Laboratory to investigate the effects of ground water table elevations on the beach profile changes over the swash zone.

Image‐Based Spatio‐Temporal Interpolation for Split Rendering
Abstract Low‐powered devices – such as small form factor head‐mounted displays (HMDs) – struggle to deliver a smooth and high‐quality viewing experience, due to their limited power and rendering capabilities. Cloud rendering attempts to solve the quality issue, but leads to prohibitive latency and bandwidth requirements, hindering use with HMDs over ...

An equilibrium profile model for tidal environments
During a full tidal cycle, the beach profile is exposed to continuously changing hydrodynamical conditions. Consequently, the profile evolves constantly to adapt to these changes.

Run Up of Surface and Internal Waves
The evolution of breaking waves propagating towards the shore and more specifically the run-up phase over the swash-zone for surface as well as for internal waves is considered. The study is based on a) laboratory run up experiments for surface waves ; b)

Arsenite sorption and co-precipitation with calcite [PDF]
Sorption of As(III) by calcite was investigated as a function of As(III) concentration, time and pH. The sorption isotherm, i.e. the log As(III) vs.

PSHead: 3D Head Reconstruction from a Single Image with Diffusion Prior and Self‐Enhancement
We introduce PSHead, a coarse‐to‐fine framework guided by both object and face priors, to produce a Gaussian‐based 3D avatar for a single frontal‐view reference image. In the coarse stage, we create an initial 3D representation by applying diffusion models trained for general object generation, using Score Distillation Sampling losses over novel views.
