Projections of Directional Spectra Help to Unravel the Future Behavior of Wind Waves
Based on a novel approach, present-day and future spectral wind-wave conditions in a high-emission scenario from a seven-member wave climate projection ensemble are compared.

Swell-dissipation function for wave models
In the paper, we will investigate swell attenuation due to production of turbulence by the wave orbital motion. Theoreticaly, potential waves cannot generate the vortex motion, but the scale considerations indicate that if the steepness of waves is not ...

Synopsis On examination, two samples of clay from Keuper marls have been found to contain a chloritic mineral showing a limited c-axis expansion on glycerol treatment. One of these samples gives the same (001) spacing as montmorillonoids when treated with glycerol, and a heating test is necemary to make the distinction.

Depth Inversion Using SAR and Super-Resolution Enhancement: A Case Study on Case II Waters
Depth inversion is crucial for ocean exploration, with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technology being a key tool due to its all-weather capabilities. However, SAR-based depth inversion typically has limited resolution, ranging from hundreds to thousands

Swell-shrink Cycles of Lime Stabilized Expansive Subgrade
Subgrades of expansive nature are one of the main causes of damage to road network in Australia. Consequently, lime stabilization has been widely used to reduce the swell- shrink potential of these types of soils and thus reduce the associated damage ...

Use of the Dynamic Cone Penetrometer in Compacted Clay–Sand Layers
The ASTM D6951 suggests a test method using the dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) for the assessment of shallow pavement strength. This study is dedicated to evaluating a similar test method to be used for fine-grained clay–sand mixtures, which are ...

ABSTRACT Background Osteosarcoma (OS) and Ewing sarcoma (EWS) are the most common primary bone cancers in children, but acute thrombosis is poorly characterized in this population. Our study evaluated the rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and associated risk factors in pediatric patients with bone sarcomas treated over a 10‐year period encompassing
