A Cryoprotectant‐Compatible Nanoporous Platform for Stable and Scalable Delivery of Biopharmaceuticals

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A cryoprotectant‐compatible nanoporous platform enables ambient‐stable and scalable delivery of gene editing therapeutics. By combining hierarchical pore architecture with optimized lyophilization chemistry, the system preserves Cas9‐RNP activity post‐freeze‐drying.

Hypercapnic warm-up and re-warm-up–A novel experimental approach in swimming sprint

open access: yesPLOS ONE
The purpose of this study was to determine the effective warm-up protocol using an added respiratory dead space (ARDS) 1200 ml volume mask to determine hypercapnic conditions, on the swimming velocity of the 50 m time trial front crawl. Eight male members of the university swimming team, aged 19–25, performed three different warm-up protocols: 1 ...

Self‐Assembled Inorganic Nanomembrane Tubes: Rolled‐Up Piezoelectrics for Microacoustic Wave‐Based Actuators and Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a self‐assembly process to generate free‐standing piezoelectric nanomembranes, forming ultracompact microtubular acoustic wave sensors and actuators. The miniaturized 3D piezoelectric platform reported in this work can be applied in telecommunication, energy harvesting, and acoustofluidics. Moreover, the 3D self‐assembly can add

Intelligent Acousto‐Electrical Metamaterials (IAM) for Sound Source Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Our proposed metamaterial concept enables sound source detection using a single material, in contrast to conventional arrays that require dozens or even hundreds of transducers. We show that the coupled acoustic–vibrational–electrical responses in piezoelectric metamaterials give rise to topology‐governed charge transport, producing distinct voltage ...

Sperm preparation techniques affect biological parameters, fertility indices, and DNA fragmentation in patients with oligo-astheno-teratozoospermia

open access: yesReproduction and Fertility
In normozoospermia, the albumin gradient filtration (AGF) and swim-up processing techniques are used to isolate spermatozoa with the highest biological parameters and specific sperm fertility indices (SSFI).

The Effect of Warm-up on Tethered Front Crawl Swimming Forces.

open access: yesJournal of human kinetics, 2011
This study was conducted to determine the effect of warm-up on high-intensity front crawl tethered swimming and thus to better understand possible variations in the force exerted by the swimmers. Ten male national level swimmers (mean ± SD; age 15.3 ± 0.95 years old, height: 1.73 ± 5.2 m, body mass: 64.3 ± 7.8 kg, Fat mass 8.31 ± 3.1 kg) participated ...

Viral Infection‐Inspired Autonomous Detection of Fusion‐Competent Viruses for Screening and Environmental Surveillance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by viral entry mechanisms, the FUSION assay enables autonomous detection of respiratory viruses via membrane fusion–triggered CRISPR‐Cas13a activation. VEACON selectively fuses with fusion‐competent viruses, triggering fluorescence within confined vesicles.
