A novel linear switch reluctance generator system

2012 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics, 2012
A novel linear generator system prototype has been developed to harness tidal and wave energy. The point absorber is designed to extract energy from ocean waves. The main circuit of power converter and control system based on DSP are designed. The experimental study has been carried out on the three-phase 6/4 structure linear switched reluctance ...

Sensorless super-high-speed switched reluctance generators

IEEE 2002 28th Annual Conference of the Industrial Electronics Society. IECON 02, 2003
Operating at super high speeds emerges as a need in various sectors of industry including military, automotive and home appliances. Generation of electric power at such speeds has the inherent advantage of compactness and elimination of speed adaptation means.

Hysteresis Current Control of Switched Reluctance Generator

2020 11th International Renewable Energy Congress (IREC), 2020
The subject of this paper is a hysteresis current control method of a three-phase 6/4 Switched reluctance generator (SRG) based on the nonlinear inductance model and electromagnetic field finite element analysis (FEA) to be used in wind energy applications. This work is intended to show the nonlinear electromagnetic characteristics of SRG and the power

Generating with the switched reluctance motor

Proceedings of 1994 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition - ASPEC'94, 2002
The switched reluctance motor (SRM) is being developed for aircraft engine starter/generator applications. In these applications the SRM operates as a generator as well as a motor. This development is taking place because the SRM is unique in its operation as a generator compared to other machine types in that it does not employ permanent magnets or a ...

Optimum Design of Linear Switched Reluctance Generator

2018 X International Conference on Electrical Power Drive Systems (ICEPDS), 2018
The article describes a variant of designing of linear switched reluctance generator, optimized under criterion of energy efficiency. It is proposed to optimize using the genetic algorithm within calculating the generator's magnetic field by the finite element method.

A digital control for switched reluctance generators

2011 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics, 2011
This paper presents a novel digital control technique for switched reluctance generators (SRGs). Voltage feedback control is used in the proposed approach. This control strategy can be implemented easily with both PWM and hysteresis switching schemes. The SRG is modeled in order to find the proper control parameters.

Optimal efficiency control of switched reluctance generators

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2006
This paper investigates the problem of optimal control for accomplishing maximum energy conversion in switched reluctance generators. A controller that determines the optimal turn-on and turn-off angles in the mode of single-pulse operation is proposed.

Dynamic simulation model of switched reluctance generator

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2003
This paper deals with a numerical model of the switched reluctance generator (SRG) for use on a general-purpose circuit simulation program "SPICE". In the model, the electric circuit and magnetic circuit are coupled by proper controlled sources. Using the numerical model, we can readily calculate the dynamic behavior of the SRG.

Electromagnetic design of switched reluctance generator

The Fifth International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems, 2003. PEDS 2003., 2004
The electromagnetic design method and the procedure of the switched reluctance generator system are presented by taking a three-phase 12/8 structure switched reluctance generator system for example. The output equation relating to the relationship between the structure parameters and the electric/magnetic loads is derived.
