An SRM model based on Froelich's equation has been used to accurately predict the characteristics of flux-linkage against current for various angles. The mathematical model coefficients are computed using the flux-linkage versus current at various angles data for various air gap geometric proportions.

This paper presents the comparative study of controllers: Model Based Predictive Control (MPC) and Proportional Integral with Anti-Windup structure (PI-AW), applied to the speed control of a switched Reluctance Motor (SRM). The SRM physically presents noise in the measurement of the speed variable given in Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) to be controlled.
