Theory of Spin Torque Assisted Thermal Switching of Single Free Layer
The spin torque assisted thermal switching of the single free layer was studied theoretically. Based on the rate equation, we derived the theoretical formulas of the most likely and mean switching currents of the sweep current assisted magnetization ...

Statins: to switch or not to switch? [PDF]
Abstract Two doctors argue for and against the policy of switching patients from expensive branded statins to lower‐cost generic formulations in order to reduce NHS prescribing costs.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Controlled inter-state switching between quantized conductance states in resistive devices for multilevel memory [PDF]
A detailed understanding of quantization conductance (QC), their correlation with resistive switching phenomena and controlled manipulation of quantized states is crucial for realizing atomic-scale multilevel memory elements.

Task switching is not cue switching [PDF]
With the aim of reducing cognitive control in task switching to simpler processes, researchers have proposed in a series of recent studies that there is little more to switching tasks than switching cues. The present study addresses three questions concerning this reduction hypothesis.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
