Use of Symptomatic Drug Treatment for Fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis and Patterns of Work Loss

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To describe the use of central stimulants and amantadine for fatigue in MS and evaluate a potential association with reduced work loss in people with MS. Methods We conducted a nationwide, matched, register‐based cohort study in Sweden (2006 to 2023) using national registers with prospective data collection.

A Current-Dependent Switching Strategy for Si/SiC Hybrid Switch-Based Power Converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
: Hybrid switches configured by paralleling Silicon (Si) Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBT) and Silicon Carbide (SiC) Metal-Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors (MOSFET) have been verified to be a high-efficiency cost-effective device ...

Simple and efficient generation of gap solitons in Bose-Einstein condensates

open access: yes, 2006
We suggest an efficient method for generating matter-wave gap solitons in a repulsive Bose-Einstein condensate, when the gap soliton is formed from a condensate cloud in a harmonic trap after turning on a one-dimensional optical lattice.

SiC and GaN power transistors switching energy evaluation in hard and soft switching conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
SiC and GaN power transistors switching energy are compared in this paper. In order to compare switching energy Esw of the same power rating device, a theoretical analysis is given to compare SiC device conduction loss and switching losses change when ...

Adult‐Onset Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis Presenting With Subacute Cognitive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We describe the case of a 41‐year‐old man diagnosed with adult‐onset subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE). The patient presented with subacute progressive cognitive deficits and a neuropsychological profile indicating predominant frontoparietal dysfunction. MRI showed only mild parietal‐predominant cerebral atrophy.

Comparative Dynamic Performance Evaluation of Si IGBTs and SiC MOSFETs

open access: yesEnergies
Power semiconductor devices are fundamental components in modern electronic power conversion. In applications demanding high power density and efficiency, the choice between silicon (Si) IGBTs and Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFETs is critical.

Estimation on the switching losses at IGBT bridges power converter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
. In the paper estimation on the switching losses at IGBT bridge converter with the output serial resonant load is given. The converter works on frequency higher than resonant frequency and supports the work of IGBT transistors in the bridge with zero ...
