Very high energy gamma-ray follow-up observations of novae and dwarf novae with the MAGIC telescopes [PDF]
In the last few years the Fermi-LAT instrument has detected GeV gamma-ray emission from several novae. Such GeV emission can be interpreted in terms of inverse Compton emission from electrons accelerated in the shock or in terms of emission from hadrons ...

The symbiotic recurrent nova V745 Sco at radio wavelengths
ABSTRACT V745 Sco is a Galactic symbiotic recurrent nova with nova eruptions in 1937, 1989, and 2014. We study the behaviour of V745 Sco at radio wavelengths (0.6–37 GHz), covering both its 1989 and 2014 eruptions and informed by optical, X-ray, and $\gamma$-ray data. The radio light curves are synchrotron-dominated.

Outbursts in Symbiotic Binaries: Z and Continued Observation [PDF]
A major question for symbiotic stars concerns the nature and cause of their outbursts. A small subset of symbiotics, the "slow novae" are fairly well established as thermonuclear events that last on the order of decades.

In this paper, we present a description and characterisation of the 2-Channel Focal Reducer Rozhen (FoReRo2), with an emphasis on its polarimetric and spectropolarimetric observation modes.

We have analyzed the optical light curve of the symbiotic star V407 Cyg that underwent a classical nova outburst in 2010 March. Being guided by a supersoft X-ray phase observed during days 20-40 after the nova outburst, we are able to reproduce the light

The First Hours and Days of the 2021 Explosion of the Recurrent Symbiotic Nova RS Ophiuchii
The accretion of matter onto a massive white dwarf (WD) can lead to repeated nuclear explosions on its surface over a timescale of years to decades. The seventh explosion of the recurrent symbiotic nova RS Ophiuchi (RS Oph) was recorded on 2021 August 8.

Multiwavelength Timing Analysis of the Recurrent Nova T CrB
We present a short-timescale multiwavelength timing study of the symbiotic recurrent nova T Coronae Borealis (T CrB), based on Swift/X-Ray Telescope (XRT), Swift/UltraViolet Optical Telescope (UVOT), and Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS ...

The Role of Binary Configuration in Shaping Nova Evolution via Wind Accretion in Symbiotic Systems
We investigate the impact of the Bondi–Hoyle–Lyttleton (BHL) accretion mechanism on the evolution of nova eruptions in symbiotic systems by systematically varying three key input parameters: the initial donor (asymptotic giant branch, AGB) mass, the ...
