Gravity‐Dependent Modulation of Downbeat Nystagmus: Insights From Velocity‐Storage Dysfunction
ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model. Methods In 10 patients with downbeat nystagmus due to cerebellar disorders, we recorded eye movements at different pitch‐ and roll‐axis head positions.

ABSTRACT Variants in KCNA1, encoding the Kv1.1 potassium channel, cause neurological disorders including episodic ataxia and developmental and epileptic encephalopathy. We identified a novel KCNA1 variant (A401T) in a 16‐year‐old patient with autism spectrum disorder, borderline intellectual disability, and tremor, without episodic ataxia or epilepsy ...

Cryptanalysis and design of lightweight symmetric-key cryptography [PDF]
Lightweight cryptography has been a rising topic along with the global development of very constrained computing devices, for which conventional cryptographic algorithms are often too resource-consuming to fit the use-cases such as RFID tags. Conducting cryptanalysis gives us better understanding on how to protect against adversaries. In the first part

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving
