Orbifold Cohomology of the Symmetric Product [PDF]
Chen and Ruan's orbifold cohomology of the symmetric product of a complex manifold is calculated. An isomorphism of rings (up to a change of signs) $H_{orb}^*(X^n/S_n;\complex) \cong H^*(X^{[n]};\complex)$ between the orbifold cohomology of the symmetric product of a smooth projective surface with trivial canonical class $X$ and the cohomology of its ...

Heterotropic regulation and negative homotropic cooperativity
We identified a structural module common to some proteins that couple negative cooperativity with heterotropic regulation, two features that rarely coexist. These proteins are ring‐like and present an ordered asymmetry whereby noncontacting subunits are symmetric, and their tertiary structure differs from that of contacting subunits.

The Impact of Quasi-Conformal Curvature Tensor on Warped Product Manifolds
This work investigates the effects on the factor manifolds of a singly warped product manifold resulting from the presence of a quasi-conformally flat, quasi-conformally symmetric, or divergence-free quasi-conformal curvature tensor.

SPG4 and Dementia: Expanding the Clinical Spectrum
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) is a group of disorders characterized by progressive spasticity and lower limb weakness, with mutations in SPG4/SPAST being the most common cause. Detailed studies and clinical and molecular comparisons across different populations are missing.

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.

Interface correlators in symmetric product orbifolds
Symmetric product orbifolds provide a controlled environment to explore generic features of gauge theory and holography. The tractability of these theories lies in the complete characterisation of their gauge structure through holomorphic covering maps ...

Strings, symmetric products, TT¯ deformations and Hecke operators
We derive a formula for the torus partition sum of the symmetric product of TT¯ deformed CFT's, using previous work on long strings in (deformed) AdS3, and universality. The result is given by an integral transform of the partition function for the block

The homology of symmetric products [PDF]
In this paper we compute the homology groups for the various symmetric products of any space X of finite type. Thus we complete the calculations begun by M. Morse, Smith and Richardson in the 1930's and carried dramatically forward by N. Nakaoka in a series of papers dating from 1955.

ABSTRACT Objective We aim to comprehensively analyze how regional tumor and edema characteristics are associated with clinical presentations and survival outcomes in a large cohort of glioblastoma patients. Methods Patients with IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma who received brain MRI from 2010 to 2023 were included.

The worldsheet dual of the symmetric product CFT
Superstring theory on AdS 3 × S 3 × T 4 $$ {\mathrm{AdS}}_3 \times {S}^3\times {\mathbb{T}}^4 $$ with the smallest amount of NS-NS flux (“k = 1”) is shown to be dual to the spacetime CFT given by the large N limit of the free symmetric product orbifold ...
