General decay synchronization of delayed BAM neural networks with reaction–diffusion terms

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
In this paper, general decay synchronization of delayed bidirectional associative memory neural networks with reaction–diffusion terms is studied. First, a useful lemma is introduced to determine the general decay synchronization of considered systems ...

Synchronizing Resources [PDF]

open access: yesACM Transactions on Programming Languages and Systems, 1981
A new proposal for synchronization and communication in parallel programs is presented. The proposal, called synchronization resources, combines and extends aspects of procedures, coroutines, monitors, communicating sequential processes, and distributed processes.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

A Novel PSS Timing Synchronization Algorithm for Cell Search in 5G NR System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Cell search is the first step to establish downlink synchronization between user equipment (UE) and base station (BS) in the fifth generation (5G) new radio (NR) system.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

A Cluster-Based Secure Synchronization Protocol for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2014
Secure time synchronization is one of the key concerns for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs). This paper presents a CLUster-based Secure Synchronization (CLUSS) protocol that ensures the security of synchronization under harsh underwater ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

New type of chaos synchronization in discrete-time systems: the F-M synchronization

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2018
In this paper, a new type of synchronization for chaotic (hyperchaotic) maps with different dimensions is proposed. The novel scheme is called F – M synchronization, since it combines the inverse generalized synchronization (based on a functional ...
