Evaluation of Virtual Synchronous Generator Compared to Synchronous Generator

2020 IEEE Power & Energy Society Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference (ISGT), 2020
Virtual synchronous generator (VSG) can be designed to aid the integration of large-scale distribution generation (DG) such as photovoltaic into the power grid. Through this concept, it is plausible for the DG to exhibit the characteristics and behavior of synchronous generators (SG) such as inertia, droop functions and damping.

Adaptive Control of a Synchronous Generator

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983
Abstract Theoretical aspects are based on PARK's equations while the experimental part is achieved from on-line machine frequency responses on small signals for different active or reactive powers. The concordant results show that a third order multi-input-multi-output non minimum phase system characterizes correctly the dynamic behaviour of the ...

Generalized synchronization languages

1999
Generalized synchronization languages are a model used to describe the behaviors of distributed applications whose synchronization constraints are expressed by generalized synchronization expressions -- an extension of synchronization expressions. Generalized synchronization languages were conjectured by Salomaa and Yu to be characterized by a semi ...

A generalized frame synchronizer

[Conference Record] GLOBECOM '92 - Communications for Global Users: IEEE, 2003
A modification of the class of frame synchronizers which maximize a likelihood function is proposed. If the stage following the frame sync unit is able to distinguish incorrect from correct syncs, then supplying several alternative frame starting positions effectively improves the synchronization performance.

Finitely Generated Synchronizing Automata

2009
A synchronizing word w for a given synchronizing DFA is called minimal if no proper prefix or suffix of w is synchronizing. We characterize the class of synchronizing automata having finite language of minimal synchronizing words (such automata are called finitely generated ).

Generalized synchronization versus phase synchronization

Physical Review E, 2000
The relation between generalized synchronization and phase synchronization is investigated. It was claimed that generalized synchronization always leads to phase synchronization, and phase synchronization is a weaker form than generalized synchronization.

On generalized synchronization of spatial chaos

Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 2003
Here, a generalized synchronization of two spatially chaotic systems is investigated. At the same time, the range of the coupling coefficient in generalized synchronization is also determined analytically. These results thus extend generalized chaos synchronization from temporal systems to spatial systems.

Brushless induction synchronous generator

2016 IEEE 25th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2016
In present scenario of renewable energy generation systems, brush-less and magnet-less generators are becoming more popular due to merits such as high reliability, robustness, fault tolerant capability and almost maintenance free operation, etc. This paper deals with a brushless induction synchronous generator (BInSyG), where an induction and a ...
