Synergism in the Chemotherapy of Fascioliasis

British Veterinary Journal, 1969
SUMMARY Under experimental conditions both hexachlorophane (at 20 mg./kg.) and 4-cyano-2-iodo-6 nitrophenol (at 10 mg./kg.) killed liver-flukes in sheep 4 or 6 weeks after infection. When the two drugs were used together there was evidence of a synergistic effect.

Synergism and Substitution in the Lactoferrins

1994
The anion binding properties of human lactoferrin (Lf), with Fe3+ or Cu2+ as the associated metal ion, highlight differences between the two sites, and in the anion binding behaviour when different metals are bound. Carbonate, oxalate and hybrid carbonate-oxalate complexes have been prepared and their characteristic electronic and EPR spectra recorded.

Synergism in the Folate Pathway

Clinical Infectious Diseases, 1982
Synergism between inhibitors acting on different enzymes of a metabolic pathway can occur as a simple consequence of the nonlinear nature of normal enzyme kinetics. However, whether synergism does or does not occur is then determined entirely by the configuration of the pathway.

Using Walker and Avant's methodology, I examined the use of synergism
