The Synergistic Effects of Different Radiations

Radiation Research, 1980
Theoretical expressions, based on the Theory of Dual Radiation Action, are derived to calculate the effects of mixed radiation exposures on survival distributions. Temporal effects (such as recovery from sublethal injury) are explicitly included in the calculations.

Effect of Synergists on Activity of Gallates

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1969
Tartaric, citric, ascorbic, and orthophosphoric acids were used to study the effect of synergists on the pro-oxidation and antioxidation produced by methyl, ethyl, propyl, octyl, decyl, and dodecyl gallates on the oxidation of aldehydes dispersed in cetomacrogol solutions at 25° in the presence of cupric sulfate.

A Synergistic Effect in Logistics Network

2016
The objective of this study is to investigate supply chain performance with a focus on transport logistics. The expected effects and capacity of potential changes in supply chain performance should be taken into account while developing a management decision on logistics network functioning.

Synergistic Effect of Zinc and Gibberellin

Nature, 1959
DWARF beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) were sown in John Innes seed compost and, when emergence had occurred, the seedlings were transplanted into 2½-in. pots using the John Innes potting compost.

Synergistic Effects of Risk Factors

Clinical and Experimental Hypertension. Part A: Theory and Practice, 1990
Risk factors for coronary heart disease (CHD), stroke, congestive heart failure and total mortality were analysed in two random population samples of men in Gothenburg, Sweden, aged 50 and 47-55 years, respectively, at entry. A series of potential risk factors for the above mentioned end-points have been analysed in univariate and multivariate logistic

Synergistic Effects of Vitamin D Metabolites

Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism, 1988
The vitamin D3 metabolites 1 alpha,24R,25- and 1 alpha,25S,26-trihydroxy vitamin D3 and their combinations with 1 alpha,25-dihydroxy vitamin D3 were tested for antirachitic activity in rats, chicken and Japanese quails. The trihydroxylated compounds were found to increase the activity of 1 alpha,25-dihydroxy vitamin D3. Since this synergistic effect is

Synergistic effects in hydrogen–helium bubbles

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2012
The detrimental effects of hydrogen and helium on structural materials undergoing irradiation are well documented, if not well understood. There is experimental evidence to suggest that a synergistic effect between the two elements exists, which results in increased damage when both are present.

On the mechanism of the synergistic effect of perazine and hexobarbital

Naunyn-Schmiedeberg's Archives of Pharmacology, 1974
The synergistic effect of perazine and hexobarbital was studied by interference with drugs which alter the adrenergic, serotonergic and cholinergic systems. The determination of hexobarbital level in blood and brain was used as an indication of the rate of its biotransformation.

Synergistic effects: From the coffee room to coordination cages

Chem
Jacopo Tessarolo studied chemistry at the University of Padova, where he obtained his PhD in the group of Prof. Lidia Armelao. In 2018, he joined the group of Prof. Guido Clever (TU Dortmund in Germany), where he worked on heteroleptic cages and circularly polarized luminescence.
