Toxicity and possible synergistic effects of ultrasound
International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, 1976Extensive literature exists on the biological effects of ultrasound, and there are excellent summaries of much of this literature.47779 In addition, there have been a few attempts to extrapolate toxicity threshold data to clinically relevant exposure conditions.6*7 Based on these extrapolations, it is fashionable to conclude that risks are too high to ...

Synergistic effect of saliva with aureomycin and terramycin
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1952Abstract The mean concentration of antibiotic producing a bactericidal effect has been determined by graphic analysis of assays. The addition of dilute fresh saliva reduces the ED 50 for antibiotic in broth alone by about 50 per cent. Saliva itself, either concentrated or dilute, is not inhibitory to the test organism, Bacillus mycoides.

Synergistic Effect on the Characteristics of the Seductive Appearance
2019Numerous reports on kinematic and kinematical analysis of walking with prosthetic leg prosthesis have been made. In recent years, the necessity for analysis of running behavior such as jogging and sprints has become high. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ground reaction force from the obtained value and to investigate the change of the ...

Synergistic effect of additives on cyclopropanation of olefins
Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2013An efficient cyclopropanation of olefins with Zn(CH2I)2, a catalytic amount of CCl3CO2H, and 1,2-dimethoxyethane at room temperature is described. A wide variety of olefins, including acid-sensitive substrates, can be cyclopropanated in 71-99% yield.

Synergistic effects in plasma-surface interactions
Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1984Abstract The possible synergistic effects which can contribute to plasma-surface interaction phenomena in fusion devices are reviewed. These effects include the influence of reactive ions, surface modification, temperature, radiation damage, and external forces and fields on erosion yields, hydrogen retention and release, and other surface processes.

Synergistic antimyeloma effects of zoledronate and simvastatin
Anti-Cancer Drugs, 2006Despite advances in the treatment of multiple myeloma, it remains an incurable disease because of primary and secondary drug resistance. Mevalonate pathway inhibitors like bisphosphonates and statins have antimyeloma activity in vitro at very high concentrations, which may probably not be reached in vivo.

Combining Chemical Permeation Enhancers for Synergistic Effects
European Journal of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, 2015Currently, macromolecular drugs such as proteins are mainly administered by means of injections due to their low intestinal epithelial permeability and poor stability in the gastrointestinal tract. This study investigated binary combinations of chemical drug absorption enhancers to determine if synergistic drug absorption enhancement effects exist ...
