Design and analysis of PM‐assisted synchronous reluctance machine with shifted magnetic poles
This paper presents a new design of a PM‐assisted synchronous reluctance motor (PM‐SynRM) with uneven air‐gap length to improve the power factor and enhance the torque production capability. The proposed solution is simple, does not require changing the arrangement of magnets and/or flux barriers and is applicable to all types of PM‐SynRMs. Sensitivity

Performance Analysis of Synchronous Reluctance Motor with Limited Amount of Permanent Magnet
This paper analyzes the performance of a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) equipped with a limited amount of a permanent magnet (PM). This is conventionally implemented by inserting PMs in rotor flux barriers, and this is often called the PM-assisted ...

Deep Learning-Based Approach for Speed Estimation of a PMa-SynRM
Synchronous motors require information about absolute rotor position to ensure full control. Different types of sensors connected directly to shaft are preferred for measuring rotor position. These sensors have some disadvantages such as more hardware complexity, high cost, increased volume, cable addition, decreased noise immunity, decreased ...

Synchronous reluctance motor iron losses: considering machine non-linearity at MTPA, FW, and MTPV operating conditions [PDF]
Synchronous reluctance machine has high flux density fluctuations in the iron due to the high harmonics results from the rotor anisotropy. Thus, an accurate computation of the iron losses is of paramount importance, especially during the design stage. In
