Ultra‐high‐dimensional multi‐level optimisation strategies for electrical machines
Electrical machine optimisation is a complex high‐dimensional non‐linear multi‐objective problem. This paper proposes a new sensitivity analysis method with variable weighted intervals and three improved multi‐level optimisation strategies, utilising different optimisation algorithms, sequential sensitivity strategies, and machine learning models.

A general modelling technique for a triple redundant 3x3-phase PMA SynRM [PDF]
A general modelling technique is proposed for a triple redundant 3x3-phase permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance machine (PMA SynRM). The magneto-motive force (MMF) of the machine is divided into three parts each associated with one 3 ...

This paper proposes a maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) control method for a permanent magnet reluctance hybrid rotor dual stator synchronous motor (PMRHRDSSM) based on a sliding mode speed controller. A PMRHRDSSM current controller that meets MTPA constraints is designed. A PMRHRDSSM sliding mode speed controller was designed with input speed error and

Robust design optimization of five‐phase SynRM for fault‐tolerant operation based on Taguchi method
This paper investigates the robust design optimization of five‐phase synchronous reluctance motor under fault tolerant operation based on fuzzy logic based Taguchi method. Abstract Synchronous reluctance motor has recently attracted the attention of researchers due to their characteristics such as higher efficiency compared to induction motors, lower ...

Stator Turn Fault Modeling for a Triple Redundant 3 × 3-Phase PMA SynRM [PDF]
Accurate stator turn fault (STF) modelling technique is of paramount importance to assess the machine fault behavior and develop fault detection and mitigation strategies for a fault tolerant machine drive system. In this paper, a STF model is proposed for a triple redundant 3x3-phase permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance machine (PMA SynRM).

Permanent magnet/reluctance hybrid rotor dual‐stator synchronous motor (PM/RHRDSSM) is composed of a ‘back‐to‐back’ permanent magnet + reluctance hybrid rotor and an inner and outer double stator. This paper establishes a PM/RHRDSSM mathematical model of stator winding series structure and proposes a maximum torque per ampere control strategy suitable ...

Ferrofluid‐based electrical machines: Conceptualization and experimental evaluation
This paper aims to Introduce a new structure for electric machines that work based on ferrofluids. The operation principle of the proposed structure is presented by applying some modifications to the synchronous reluctance machine’s model. A dynamic‐transient model of FFEM machines along with electrical equivalent circuits is developed.
