Stabilizing effect of random phase diffuser against wavefront distortions to the intensity distribution formed by Fourier hologram

International Conference on Correlation Optics, 2021
The paper describes the stabilizing effect of random phase diffuser applied at recording or synthesis of Fourier hologram. The stabilizing effect is meant here as ability to keep quality of the image formed by Fourier hologram or kinoform in terms of ...

Methods of synthesizing focused-image holograms

Journal of Optical Technology, 2013
This paper discusses the main stages of the synthesis of focused-image holograms. It is established that the key problem of the synthesis when the projection objective has aberrations is to compute the complex amplitude of the object wave in the plane of the hologram. A high-throughput method of solving this problem is developed.

Error diffusion hologram binarization for DMD applications

, 2021
Digital micromirror device (DMD) allows very fast binary light modulation. For digital hologram displaying using DMD, binarization should be applied. In this work, 12 error diffusion and 8 dot diffusion binarization algorithms were considered.

Monitoring convex aspheric surfaces using axial synthesized holograms

Journal of Optical Technology, 2007
This paper discusses the possibilities of monitoring convex aspheric surfaces, using axial synthesized holograms as optical compensators. Various monitoring methods are presented that have been investigated experimentally and are used for process and certification monitoring of the aspheric surfaces of lenses and mirrors fabricated in experimental ...

Analysis of 2D Digital Holography using Synthesized Holograms

Biomedical Optics and 3-D Imaging, 2012
An algorithm to generate synthesized holograms is described, and the results are validated by comparing them with an experiment. The system’s axial resolution is analyzed using the algorithm as an example of the algorithm’s capabilities.

Phase-space synthesized digital holography for high space-bandwidth product imaging

, 2021
. High resolution and wide field of view (FOV) are always the goals of imaging, which are related to the space-bandwidth product (SBP) of the system. Currently, most methods focus on either resolution enhancement or FOV extension. Few works pay attention

Fast and effective algorithm for synthesizing computer-generated holograms

SPIE Proceedings, 2002
Over the past years great efforts have been made to find the optimization methods for synthesizing computer-generated holograms, e.g., kinoforms. The simulated annealing (SA) method is widely used in programing to approach the global optimization. But the drawback of the SA is it is time consuming.

A new method of synthesizing acoustic holograms

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1983
This letter presents a new method of synthesizing acoustical holograms, which reduces transducer arrays. The number of data, obtained without redundancy, is the product of the numbers of transmitters and receivers. An experiment demonstrates the discussion.

Cylindrical computer-generated hologram for displaying 3D images.

Optics Express, 2018
A method for computing and synthesizing a diffractive optical element (DOE) on a cylindrical surface is proposed. The computer-generated hologram is a phase reflecting DOE, which, when illuminated with white light, displays a 3D image with a 360° viewing
