A new method of synthesizing acoustic holograms
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1983This letter presents a new method of synthesizing acoustical holograms, which reduces transducer arrays. The number of data, obtained without redundancy, is the product of the numbers of transmitters and receivers. An experiment demonstrates the discussion.

Photography of an Object for Synthesizing a Composite Hologram
Journal of Applied Spectroscopy, 2001The quality of the image recorded on a synthesized hologram with different arrangements of the cameras forming the original images is analyzed. Optimum parameters of the positioning of cameras for forming images recorded on subholograms in order to construct composite holograms with minimum distortions have been obtained.

Imaging of rotating objects by means of synthesized optical holograms
Optics and Spectroscopy, 2000A scheme is presented for producing optical holograms of rotating objects by illuminating the object by a single-frequency coherent laser beam. Along one axis, the synthesis takes place due to rotation of the object; along the other axis, the hologram is synthesized by the coherent radiation field generated by a long linear optical antenna.

An arrangement of transmitter and receiver arrays for synthesizing acoustical holograms
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part I: Communications), 1983AbstractA method is discussed for synthesizing acoustic holograms consisting of MN pieces of data with M transmitters and N receivers in an acoustic hologram imaging system. Several methods similar to the approach presented here for reducing the total number of transmitters and receivers are examined. the distinctive feature of the proposed method lies

Acoustic holography is frequently used for the characterization of fields generated by ultrasound transducers. For arrays with electronic focusing and beam steering, separate holograms are needed to represent the 3D field for each combination of array parameters.

An ideal desired spatial light modulator that is capable of complex amplitude modulation will be one of the ultimate tools for holographic display. In this paper, an analytical method to overlap double-phase Fresnel holograms displayed on the phase-only spatial light modulators for synthesizing a complex Fresnel hologram is proposed.

Monitoring convex aspheric surfaces using axial synthesized holograms
Journal of Optical Technology, 2007This paper discusses the possibilities of monitoring convex aspheric surfaces, using axial synthesized holograms as optical compensators. Various monitoring methods are presented that have been investigated experimentally and are used for process and certification monitoring of the aspheric surfaces of lenses and mirrors fabricated in experimental ...

Monitoring small-scale aspheric optics by means of synthesized holograms
Journal of Optical Technology, 2011This paper proposes a setup for monitoring concave aspheric surfaces, using an axial synthesized holographic compensator with a spacing from the test surface greater than the vertex radius of curvature of this surface, and presents experimental verification that it is workable.

We present a theoretical framework for recording and reconstructing incoherent correlation holograms of real-existing three-dimensional scenes observed from multiple viewpoints. This framework is demonstrated by generating and reconstructing a modified Fresnel hologram as well as a new correlation hologram called a protected correlation hologram.

How the method of representing an object affects the imaging properties of synthesized holograms
Journal of Optical Technology, 2015This paper establishes how the method of representing an object affects the imaging properties of synthesized holograms. It is shown that, if a hologram is synthesized by representing an object on the basis of its spatial-frequency analysis, this disrupts the structure of the reconstructed imageāi.e., it causes the reconstructed image to be displayed ...
