Digital Holography at Shot Noise Level [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
By a proper arrangement of a digital holography setup, that combines off-axis geometry with phase-shifting recording conditions, it is possible to reach the theoretical shot noise limit, in real-time experiments. We studied this limit, and we show that it

Holographic opto-fluidic microscopy. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Over the last decade microfluidics has created a versatile platform that has significantly advanced the ways in which micro-scale organisms and objects are controlled, processed and investigated, by improving the cost, compactness and throughput aspects ...

Reduction of speckle noise in laser energy distribution on the target by means of modified Fourier hologram and incoherent averaging technique

open access: yesSemiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics & Optoelectronics, 2018
Presented in this paper is the technique of formation of required laser intensity distribution on the target with a reduced speckle noise. The method is based on the use of modified Fourier hologram adapted to controlled phase modulators.

Experimental demonstration of holographic three-dimensional light shaping using a Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We use a three-dimensional Gerchberg–Saxton algorithm (Shabtay (2003) Opt. Commun. 226 33) to calculate the Fourier-space representation of physically realizable light beams with arbitrarily shaped three-dimensional intensity distributions.

Fast Diffraction Calculation for Spherical Computer-Generated Hologram Using Phase Compensation Method in Visible Range

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The synthesis of the spherical hologram has been widely investigated in recent years as it enables a large field of view both horizontally and vertically.

Spatio-temporal scanning modality for synthesizing interferograms and digital holograms

open access: yesOptics Express, 2014
We investigate the spatio-temporal scanning of a single-pixel row for building up synthetic interferograms or digital holograms, shifted each other of a desired phase step. This unusual recording modality exploits the object movement to synthesize interferograms with extended Field of View and improved noise contrast.

Synthesizing Incoherent Digital Holograms with Reduced Number of Projections [PDF]

open access: yesBiomedical Optics, 2008
We present a method of recording digital Fourier holograms under incoherent illumination, using a significantly reduced number of observed perspective projections and a digital prediction of the middle projections. The method is demonstrated experimentally.

Synthesizing computer generated holograms with reduced number of perspective projections

open access: yesOptics Express, 2007
We present an improved method for recording a synthesized Fourier hologram under incoherent white-light illumination. The advantage of the method is that the number of real projections needed for generating the hologram is significantly reduced. The new method, designated as synthetic projection holography, is demonstrated experimentally.
