Prenatal Phenotypic Features of Five Fetal Cases With RNU4ATAC‐Associated Microcephalic Osteodysplastic Primordial Dwarfism Type I

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To present the prenatal sonographic features, genomic findings, and pregnancy outcomes of fetuses with biallelic pathogenic RNU4ATAC variants linked to microcephalic osteodysplastic primordial dwarfism type I (MOPD1). Methods This retrospective case series includes five prenatal cases with MOPD1.

Epigenetic Regulation of Liver Fibrosis: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Implications

open access: yesPortal Hypertension &Cirrhosis, EarlyView.
This review synthesizes the epigenetic mechanisms—DNA methylation, histone modifications, and non‐coding RNAs—that drive hepatic stellate cell activation and the progression of liver fibrosis. It further evaluates emerging therapeutic strategies targeting these epigenetic regulators, including DNA methyltransferase and histone deacetylase inhibitors ...

A national crop wild relative checklist for Zimbabwe reveals edible crop wild relative diversity of regional and global importance

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Crop wild relatives (CWR) in Zimbabwe are reservoirs of beneficial agronomic traits, yet they remain under‐documented and poorly conserved. This study developed Zimbabwe's first national CWR checklist based on a conceptual framework combining floristic, ecological and ethnobotanical data, revealing over 2700 taxa, with nearly 1000 edible species ...

Assessing the Performance of European Union Regions in the “People” and “Prosperity” Pillars of the SDGs

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper addresses the gap in subnational assessments of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by benchmarking the performance of European Union NUTS‐2 regions in the People and Prosperity pillars of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

An Efficient Sodium Borate‐Based Electrolyte Additive to Activate Sulfur Conversion and Stabilize Calcium Anodes in Calcium−Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Calcium−sulfur (Ca−S) batteries are promising candidates for sustainable energy storage; yet their development is limited by the lack of efficient electrolytes. Here, a sodium‐ion modified Ca[B(hfip)4]2 electrolyte enables reversible room‐temperature Ca−S batteries by simultaneously improving Ca plating/stripping stability and reversible sulfur ...

[Au4(dppb)3]2+ – A Planar Gold Cluster with Bright Excitation Wavelength Dependent Emission

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
The first planar [Au4]2+ cluster with a deltoid geometry displays red to near‐infrared emission tunable from 700 to 918 nm. A quantum yield of 17% is observed at 770 nm upon 375 nm excitation. Excitation‐wavelength‐dependent shifts in emission reveal the involvement of multiple excited states, highlighting unprecedented photophysical versatility in ...

Identification of Yeast Protein Sequences With Similarity to the ESCRT‐III Protein Snf7

open access: yesYeast, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT‐III) is a membrane remodeling complex involved in a large number of cellular processes. It appears to perform an essential function in eukaryotes, since to date no eukaryotic organism completely devoid of ESCRT‐III has been found.
