Suitability of FRIs based on Generalised Operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
It is well known that a t-norm T and its residual implication I T , normally denoted as the residual pair ( T;I T ), play an important role in fuzzy inference systems, especially in Fuzzy Relational Inference (FRI) mechanisms.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Utilizing Generative Adversarial Networks Using a Category of Fuzzy-Based Structural Similarity Indices for Constructing Datasets in Meteorology

open access: yesMathematics
Machine learning and image processing are closely related fields that have undergone major development and application in recent years. Machine learning algorithms are being used to develop sophisticated techniques for analyzing and interpreting images ...

Sugeno's negations and t-norms

open access: yesMathware & soft computing, 1994
A functional characterization of Sugeno's negations is presented and as a consequence, we study a family of non strict Archimedean t-norms whose (vertical-horizontal) sections are straight lines.

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Probabilistic convergence spaces and generalized metric spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1998
The category PPRS(Δ), whose objects are probabilistic pretopological spaces which satisfy an axiom (Δ) and whose morphisms are continuous mappings, is introduced.

Indistinguishability Operators Applied to Task Allocation Problems in Multi-Agent Systems

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2017
In this paper we show an application of indistinguishability operators to model response functions. Such functions are used in the mathematical modeling of the task allocation problem in multi-agent systems when the stimulus, perceived by the agent, to ...

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Tropical linear algebra with the Łukasiewicz T-norm

open access: yesFuzzy Sets and Systems, 2015
The max-Lukasiewicz semiring is defined as the unit interval [0,1] equipped with the arithmetics "a+b"=max(a,b) and "ab"=max(0,a+b-1). Linear algebra over this semiring can be developed in the usual way. We observe that any problem of the max-Lukasiewicz linear algebra can be equivalently formulated as a problem of the tropical (max-plus) linear ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.
