Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Roles of CaMKIIβ in the neurotoxicity induced by ropivacaine hydrochloride in dorsal root ganglion
Neurotoxicity of local anesthetics is often reported in the clinic, more and more people pay attention to them. CaMKIIβ, a subtype of CaMKII, is detected in the central nervous system.

Human sperm ion channel (dys)function:implications for fertilization [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Intensive research on sperm ion channels has identified members of several ion channel families in both mouse and human sperm. Gene knock-out studies have unequivocally demonstrated the importance of the calcium and potassium conductances in ...

CCR2 Receptor Ligands Inhibit Cav3.2 T-Type Calcium Channels [PDF]
Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) is a cytokine known to be involved in the recruitment of monocytes to sites of injury. MCP-1 activates the chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 2 (CCR2), a seven-transmembrane helix G protein-coupled receptor that has been implicated in inflammatory pain responses.

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Deltamethrin Inhibits the Human T-type Voltage-Sensitive Calcium Channel (Cav3.2) [PDF]
The goal of this study was to determine the effect of deltamethrin, a pyrethroid insecticide, on CaV3.2, a human T-type voltage-sensitive calcium channel expressed in Xenopus laevis (X.laevis) oocytes.

SUMOylation regulates USP5-Cav3.2 calcium channel interactions
Cav3.2 calcium channels play a key role in nociceptive signaling in the primary afferent pain pathway. We have previously reported the regulation of Cav3.2 calcium channels by the deubiquitinase USP5 and its importance for regulating peripheral ...

Interactions of short-term and chronic treadmill training with aging of the left ventricle of the heart [PDF]
With aging, there is a decline in cardiac function accompanying increasing risk of arrhythmias. These effects are likely to be mechanistically associated with age-associated changes in calcium regulation within cardiac myocytes.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Involvement of Protein Kinase C and Protein Kinase A in the Enhancement of L-type Calcium Current by GABA\u3csub\u3eB\u3c/sub\u3e Receptor Activation in Neonatal Hippocampus [PDF]
In the early neonatal period activation of GABAB receptors attenuates calcium current through N-type calcium channels while enhancing current through L-type calcium channels in rat hippocampal neurons.
