Incidence of seedborne fungi on pink trumpet tree (Tabebuia impetiginosa) and yellow poui (Tabebuia ochracea) in Roraima = Incidência de fungos associados a sementes de ipê-rosa (Tabebuia impetiginosa) e ipê-amarelo (Tabebuia ochracea) em Roraima

open access: yesAgro@mbiente On-line, 2012
The objective of this study was to identify and quantify fungi associated with seeds ipe-pink (Tabebuia impetiginosa), yellow-ipe (Tabebuia ochracea) and evaluate the effects of aseptic seed germination and seed seeding.

Phosphorus limitation of early growth differs between nitrogen‐fixing and nonfixing dry tropical forest tree species

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 237, Issue 3, Page 766-779, February 2023., 2023
Summary Tropical forests are often characterized by low soil phosphorus (P) availability, suggesting that P limits plant performance. However, how seedlings from different functional types respond to soil P availability is poorly known but important for understanding and modeling forest dynamics under changing environmental conditions.

Effects of anti‐Leishmania compounds in the behavior of the sand fly vector Lutzomyia longipalpis

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 78, Issue 7, Page 2792-2805, July 2022., 2022
Sugar baits can be used to block the development of Leishmania parasites inside the gut of the vector, adult female sand flies. In this work, we screened a series of synthetic compounds and showed that three of them are suitable for the future development of baits targeting the Leishmania parasites inside the sand fly Lutzomyia longipalpis.

Nurse species facilitate persistence of dry forests in agricultural landscapes in Uruguay

open access: yesJournal of Vegetation Science, Volume 33, Issue 2, March/April 2022., 2022
Park forests form cultural landscapes of South America shaped by extensive cattle ranching in the transition between natural riverine forests and open grasslands. Tree regeneration, nurse–beneficiary interactions and community composition are analysed. Nurse trees facilitate recovery in grazed forests.

Statistical parameters to estimate the leaf area of native forest seedlings of genus Tabebuia and Handroanthus

open access: yesBioscience Journal, 2017
Leaf area (LA) is an important parameter for physiological and phytotechnical studies and its measurement in a fast, accurate, and inexpensive way is essential and desirable.

Constituents from the bark of Tabebuia impetiginosa

open access: yesPhytochemistry, 2004
Thirteen new phenolic glycosides were obtained by further study of constituents from the bark of Tabebuia impetiginosa (MART. ex DC) Standley (Bignoniaceae). The structures of these compounds were determined based on NMR, mass spectral and chemical evidence. Most of them have a glycosyl unit esterified by a benzoic acid derivative.

Tabebuia impetiginosa: Purple Tabebuia

open access: yesEDIS, 2014
This briefly deciduous tree reaches 15 to 20 feet in height and has a fairly open canopy. Branching is often sparse allowing turf and other sun loving plants to grow beneath the canopy.

Resistência natural de nove madeiras do semi-árido brasileiro a fungos xilófagos em condições de laboratório Natural resistance of nine woods of Brazilian semi-arid region to wood-destroying fungi under laboratory conditions

Resistência natural de nove madeiras do semi-árido brasileiro a fungos causadores da podridão-mole Natural resistance of nine woods of Brazilian semi-arid region to soft-rot fungi

Adubação mineral do ipê-roxo (tabebuia impetiginosa) [PDF]

open access: yesCiência Florestal, 2006
In order to study nutritional aspects and lack of nutrients on the development of plants, a greenhouse experiment was carried out with seedlings of ipê-roxo (Tabebuia impetiginosa (Mart.) Sandwith).
