Anti‐PSMA Functionalized PLGA‐PEG Nanoparticles for Active Targeting of LnCap Cells and Controlled Release of Docetaxel in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
Design of experiments was used to optimize docetaxel‐loaded PLGA‐PEG nanoparticles that were fabricated by nanoprecipitation using a microfluidics technique. The nanoparticles were functionalized with an antibody to target prostate‐specific membrane antigen receptor on LnCap prostate cancer cells.

Pediatric human immunodeficiency virus infection in the modern era: A systematic review of recent advances and their implications

open access: yesPediatric Investigation, EarlyView.
This review discusses how early antiretroviral therapy initiation, long‐acting therapies, and prevention of mother‐to‐child transmission contribute to improved pediatric human immunodeficiency virus outcomes. Despite these advances, treatment complications and challenges in transitioning to adult care remain major barriers to lifelong management ...

Characteristics, properties and limitations of per‐ or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) and fluoropolymers

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
An overview and categorization of man‐made per‐ or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) including low‐molar‐mass and high‐molar‐mass fluorochemicals, and their international regulations is presented. Though certain PFASs are toxic, bioaccumulative and cross the human cellular membranes, others, such as fluoropolymers, are safe, reliable and involved in ...

Rapid Serological Detection of Anti‐GM‐CSF Autoantibodies in Autoimmune Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis Using a Novel Immunochromatographic Test

open access: yesRespirology, EarlyView.
We developed a novel ICT with high clinical performance that can distinguish APAP patients from those with other pulmonary diseases. The rapid and simple detection of GMAbs in serum provided a new practical method for the diagnosis of APAP. ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Anti‐GM‐CSF autoantibodies (GMAbs) are essential biomarkers for diagnosing ...

Device for Electrochemical Caffeine Analysis in Fluids (DECAF): A Stir‐Bar‐Embedded Sensor for Real‐Time Caffeine Analysis in Commercial and Homemade Beverages

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A portable, stir bar‐based electrochemical sensor–DECAF–enables rapid and accurate caffeine detection in beverages. Using laser‐induced graphene electrodes and a phosphate‐buffered absorbent layer, DECAF quantifies caffeine in just 5 min over a 0.5 to 5.0 mM range with minimal sample volume.

Bicontinuous Interconnected Porous Biomaterials for Tissue Engineering and Regeneration

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
Solvent transfer‐induced phase separation transforms bioinert polyethylene glycol diacrylate into bioactive scaffolds featuring bicontinuous interconnected porosity, with negative Gaussian curvature, and unique topographical patterning. These attributes enable stem cell attachment, proliferation, and differentiation without basement membrane matrix ...
