Insights on Advances in 3D Bioprinting for Peripheral Nerve Regeneration
Peripheral nerve injury is a common condition due to trauma that significantly impacts the life of the affected individual. This review explores the anatomy, classification, and pathophysiology of peripheral nerve injuries. It also discusses various types of nerve conduits and presents a detailed review of 3D bioprinted nerve conduits used in both in ...

Swallowing a cellular automaton pill: predicting drug release from a matrix tablet [PDF]
Matrix tablets are drug delivery devices designed to release a drug in a controlled manner over an extended period of time. We develop a cellular automaton (CA) model for the dissolution and release of a water-soluble drug and excipient from a matrix tablet of water-insoluble polymer.

Functional Polarization of Liver Macrophages by Glyco Gold Nanoparticles
Macrophages play a critical role in several pathophysiological diseases by being involved in the activation of adaptive and innate immune responses. The repolarization of macrophages using gold nanoparticles functionalized with glycans for a more selective targeting toward a restorative phenotype leads to an amelioration of the events.

A comparative study on corrosion failure analysis of hearing aid devices from different markets
The miniaturized design trend in hearing aids has caused a tremendous reduction in sizes for electronic parts and assembly, and as a result, the robustness of the device towards corrosion‐induced failures is compromised. In this study, a large number of field‐failed hearing aid devices across different markets were analyzed to understand their failure ...

This study investigates the cellular uptake and penetration of polymeric micelles with different drug loading contents in 2D and 3D cancer cell models. The higher toxicity in micelles with higher drug loading content is associated with higher cellular uptake in both monolayer cell culture and multicellular tumor spheroids, monitored using confocal ...
