BIOLOGY OFTACHINAEPHAGUS ZEALANDICUS(HYMENOPTERA: ENCYRTIDAE), PARASITOID OF SYNANTHROPIC DIPTERA
The Canadian Entomologist, 1974AbstractThe synonymy, distribution, host range, and life history of the gregarious larval–pupal parasitoidTachinaephagus zealandicusAshmead, is discussed. Laboratory studies of its biology were conducted at 25° ± 2 °C usingMusca domesticaL. as host. Its developmental stages are described.

Abstract 1. To overcome the challenge of host location in patchy and complex environments, many parasitoids exploit host‐habitat derived odour cues. This study investigated the role of odour cues used during host location by the generalist parasitoid, Tachinaephagus zealandicus
