Material‐Driven Neuronal Oscillators and Filters via Active Reactance in CC‐NDR and VC‐NDR Electro‐Thermal Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
Active reactance in electro‐thermal memristors emerges intrinsically from rapid thermal switching of device resistance, linking current‐controlled and voltage‐controlled negative differential resistance to neuronal spiking dynamics. Opposing temperature coefficients of resistance give rise to active inductive or capacitive responses, enabling tunable ...

The petrotympanic canal (Huguier canal): Evolutionary, anatomical, and medical perspectives

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The petrotympanic canal, traditionally referred to as Civinini's or Huguier's canal, represents an anatomical passage connecting the middle ear and temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Despite its early description, its structural complexity and functional significance have often been underestimated. In this study, we combined historical, anatomical,

The modulation of steady-state responses by transcranial alternating current stimulation: a scoping review

open access: yesFrontiers in Systems Neuroscience
Transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) is a non-invasive technique that modulates brain oscillatory activity in a frequency-specific manner, offering potential for improving sensory and cognitive functions.

Enhancing Meat Quality Through Dietary Fiber: Insights Into the Gut Microbiota‐Derived Short‐Chain Fatty Acids‐Muscle Axis

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary fiber (DF) modulates meat quality through the gut‐muscle axis by reshaping gut microbiota, improving intestinal integrity, reducing inflammation, and regulating muscle metabolism. These mechanisms influence muscle fiber characteristics and post‐mortem biochemistry, thereby enhancing tenderness, juiciness, color, flavor, and nutritional value of

Multi‐Omic Profiling Reveals Immune Cell Priming Signature Linked to Lupus Prognosis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multiorgan disease with widespread immune dysregulation and significant unmet clinical need. Blood‐based gene expression studies have advanced our understanding of SLE pathogenesis but may overlook critical tissue‐specific mechanisms that drive disease heterogeneity and progression.

Lower Striatal and Cortical Calretinin Interneuron Density Associated With Altered Social Behavior in Cntnap2 Knockout Mice

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Variants in the CNTNAP2 gene, encoding the cell adhesion molecule CASPR2, have been identified as genetic risk factors for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, the mechanisms through which CNTNAP2 dysfunction alters circuit function remain unknown.

Sustainability Reporting Quality, Ethical Leadership, and Earnings Management: Evidence From an Emerging Economy

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study analyzes the relationship between sustainability reporting quality (SRQ) and earnings management (EM) in an emerging economy and investigates the moderating role of ethical leadership. Analyzing 531 firm‐year observations from mandatory reports (2022–2024), SRQ is measured via a 51‐indicator index, while EM is proxied by the ...

Fully Reversible Regulation of 8‐17 DNAzyme Activity Using Nucleoside‐Based Diarylethenes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The site‐specific incorporation of nucleosidic diarylethenes into the 8–17 deoxyribozyme (DNAzyme) identified position 2.1 as optimal. Compound dU‐PhtBu enabled efficient light‐dependent control of catalytic activity, while maintaining thermal stability and reversibility.

Efficacy of High-Definition Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (HD-tACS) at the M1 Hotspot Versus C3 Site in Modulating Corticospinal Tract Excitability

open access: yesBiomedicines
Previous studies have shown that beta-band transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) applied at the M1 hotspot can modulate corticospinal excitability.
