Dual-function RFID tag antenna

2008 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2008
A dual-function platform-tolerant radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag antenna is proposed in this paper. The patch functions simultaneously as an antenna and a radiating element of the RFID tag. The return loss, and parametric analysis of the proposed configuration are investigated.

Antenna for passive RFID tags

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
Minuscule devices, called RFID tags are attached to objects and persons and emit information which positioned readers may capture wirelessly. Many methods of identification have been used, but that of most common is to use a unique serial number for identification of person or object.

Platform tolerant RFID tag antenna

2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007
A passive radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag antenna for UHF applications is proposed. An inductively coupled feed for the tag, employed previously in an earlier design, is modified to realize a new RFID tag antenna. A ground plane is used in the design to make the tag antenna platform-tolerant.

Complementary RFID tag antennas

2023
This thesis is mainly concerned with the investigation of a systematic approach to selecting tag antennas whose electromagnetic properties are compatible with the platforms on which they are supported and the immediate environment in which they are to be operated. The work is divided into three parts.

DNN-Based RFID Antenna Tags Localization

2021 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC), 2021
Radio frequency identification technology (RFID) is increasingly becoming an integral part of the Internet-of-Things (IoT). It offers different advantages including battery-free operation, small form-factor, and low cost. This makes the RFID an enticing technology for an indoor localization-based application and services.

A novel L-shaped RFID tag antenna

2007 European Microwave Conference, 2007
A novel RFID tag antenna is designed and its performance is verified with both simulated and experimental results. One of the limitations of the conventional RFID system is its orientation, which poses a technical challenge to its performance. We propose a dual-planar L-shaped RFID microstrip patch antenna, which is formed by folding a flat uni-planar ...

Design of Biomedical Passive RFID tag Antenna

2018 18th Mediterranean Microwave Symposium (MMS), 2018
This work is devoted to the study and design of passive RFID tag antenna, this tag can be used in biomedical applications; Essentially for detection of the patient's condition in a hospital. This study based on the electromagnetic simulation results, the proposed test is given by Computer Simulation Technology Microwave Studio (CST-MWS) based on finite

Review on UHF RFID Tag Antenna

AIJR Proceedings, 2023
This paper presents a comprehensive review of ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) tag antennas. Due to multiple benefits, RFID technology has supplanted conventional methods of identification like barcodes, magnetic stripe cards, and smart cards.

Optimized antennas for enhanced RFID sensor tags

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APSURSI), 2011
The RFID-based sensor networks are becoming increasingly appealing because of the perspective of applicability at a reasonable cost. Nevertheless, they require the integration of passive RFID tags and sensors. Even if technically possible, this integration is still limited both in type and cost.

Flexible RFID Tag Antenna Design

2020
This research is to design a radio frequency identification (RFID) high sensitivity tag antenna which operates at UHF frequency band (919–923 MHz). The major problem in designing the tag antenna is that it needs to be designed for long-range transmission with a miniaturized size.
