Physical Origin of Temperature Induced Activation Energy Switching in Electrically Conductive Cement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The temperature‐induced Arrhenius activation energy switching phenomenon of electrical conduction in electrically conductive cement originates from structural degradation within the biphasic ionic‐electronic conduction architecture and shows percolation‐governed characteristics: pore network opening dominates the low‐percolation regime with downward ...

On maximal totally real embeddings

open access: yesComplex Manifolds
We consider complex structures with totally real zero section of the tangent bundle. We assume that the complex structure tensor is real-analytic along the fibers of the tangent bundle.

Cognition: Differential-geometrical view on neural networks

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 1999
A neural network taken as a model of a trainable system appears to be nothing but a dynamical system evolving on a tangent bundle with changeable metrics. In other words to learn means to change metrics of a definite manifold.

Phase Diagrams and Piezoelectric Properties of Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN Heterostructural Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates ferroelectricity and piezoelectric properties improvement of quaternary wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films, guided by density functional theory calculations. Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films have a high optical bandgap, enhanced piezoelectric ...

Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Bench‐to‐Bedside Translation of Self‐Healing Colloidal Hydrogels as Next Generation Design of Flowable Hemostatic Matrix: From Preclinical Evaluation to Human Clinical Trials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Self‐healing materials represent a paradigm shift in designing functional biomedical devices for drug delivery, tissue regeneration, and 3D bioprinting. However, their clinical translation remains limited by challenges such as insufficient mechanical strength, potential cytotoxicity from chemical modifications, and complex activation ...

The Lie Algebra of Smooth Sections of a T-bundle

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Production Research, 2006
In this article, we generalize the concept of the Lie algebra of vector fields to the set of smooth sections of a T-bundle which is by definition a canonical generalization of the concept of a tangent bundle.

Remarks about the Kaluza-Klein metric on tangent bundle

open access: yes, 2019
The paper is concerned with the Kaluza-Klein metric on the tangent bundle over a Riemannian manifold. All kinds of Riemann curvature tensors are computed and some curvature properties are given.

Breaking the Toughness‐Stretchability Trade‐Off in Hydrogels with Dynamic Hydrogen Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel nanocomposite hydrogel architecture overcomes the inherent conflict between toughness and stretchability by integrating uniformly dispersed aminopropyl‐hybrid‐phyllosilicate nanosheets within a polyacrylamide matrix. This design leverages a dynamic hydrogen‐bonding network to facilitate efficient energy dissipation and self‐recovery.

HYPERPLANE SECTIONS OF THE PROJECTIVE BUNDLE ASSOCIATED TO THE TANGENT BUNDLE OF P 2

open access: yes, 2021
The aim of the note is to give a complete description of all the hyperplane sections of the projective bundle associated to the tangent bundle of P 2 under its natural embedding in P 7
