A continued fraction expansion for a q-tangent function: An elementary proof

open access: yes, 2008
We prove a continued fraction expansion for a certain $q$-tangent function that was conjectured by the present writer, then proved by Fulmek, now in a completely elementary ...

4D‐Printed Spin Crossover Metamaterials with Giant Programmable Positive or Negative Thermal Expansion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Spin crossover composite filaments are implemented for the rational design of 4D‐printed mechanical metamaterials. The obtained bi‐material structures guided by a theoretical analysis based on analytical calculations and Finite Element Analysis simulations exhibit giant programmable positive or negative deformation with coefficients of thermal ...

A Complex Structure for Two-Typed Tangent Spaces

open access: yesEntropy
This study concerns Riemannian manifolds with two types of tangent vectors. Let it be given that there are two subspaces of a tangent space with the property that each tangent vector has a unique decomposition as the sum of a vector in one subspace and a

Complex permittivity measurements of lunar samples at microwave and millimeter wavelengths [PDF]

open access: yes
The relative dielectric constant and loss tangent of lunar sample 14163,164 (fine dust) were determined as a function of density at 9.375, 24, 35, and 60 GHz.

Plasmonic Nanomachines: Creating Local Potential Gradients and Motions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic nanomachines can generate optical, thermal, and chemical potential gradients to drive directional rectilinear, rotational, and twisting motions at the nanometer scale. The integration of multimodal plasmonic forces with functional materials and programmed structural distortions enables precise spatiotemporal actuation, thereby providing a ...

Higher Derivatives of the Tangent and Inverse Tangent Functions and Chebyshev Polynomials

open access: yes, 2020
The higher derivatives of the tangent and hyperbolic tangent functions are determined. Formulas for the higher derivatives of the inverse tangent and inverse hyperbolic tangent functions as polynomials are stated and proved. Using another formula for the higher derivatives of the inverse tangent function from literature, two known formulas for the ...

Integrating ZnO/Ag2O@g‐C3N4‐Based Nanocomposites Into a Carrageenan Matrix to Efficiently Remove Heavy Metals From Water

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This research focused on characterizing graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) nanocomposites incorporated with ZnO and Ag2O nanoparticles, and carrageenan to remove heavy metals. The ZnO/Ag2O@ g‐C3N4 and ZnO/Ag2O/g‐C3N4@Carr nanocomposites demonstrated thermal stability of 97.40% (108.81°C) and 82.80% (188.99°C) for TGA.

Evolution of Materials and Device Stacks for HfO2‐Based Ferroelectric Memories

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review summarizes engineering strategies for HfO2 based ferroelectric memories with focus on FeCAP and FeFET structures. It describes how dopant design, stress effects, and interface engineering improve the bulk ferroelectric response. It further discusses how channel engineering supports reliable memory characteristics and scalable integration ...
