Anticancer Effects of Tangeretin on Apoptosis Induction and Cell Growth Inhibition through Mediating Reactive Oxygen Species in Endometrial Cancer Cells. [PDF]

open access: yesPrev Nutr Food Sci
Endometrial cancer, the most common gynecologic malignancy, originates within the epithelial lining of the uterus. Although early diagnosis can lead to effective treatment and improved recovery rates, the worldwide incidence and mortality rates of this ...

Tangeretin inhibits extracellular‐signal‐regulated kinase (ERK) phosphorylation [PDF]

open access: yesFEBS Letters, 2005
Tangeretin is a methoxyflavone from citrus fruits, which inhibits growth of human mammary cancer cells and cytolysis by natural killer cells. Attempting to unravel the flavonoid's action mechanism, we found that it inhibited extracellular‐signal‐regulated kinases 1/2 (ERK1/2) phosphorylation in a dose‐ and time‐dependent way.

Pharmacokinetic study on the effect of ligustrazine–tangeretin co‐administration on the pharmacokinetics of ligustrazine and its potential mechanism in rats

open access: yesPharmacology Research & Perspectives, 2023
Both ligustrazine and tangeretin are usually prescribed in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, which makes their co‐administration possible. The investigation of the interaction between ligustrazine and tangeretin is necessary for the clinical ...

Inhibitory mechanism of tangeretin, a citrus flavone on the sphingosylphosphorylcholine (SPC)-induced vascular smooth muscle contraction

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2022
We previously discovered that the SPC/Fyn/Rho-kinase (ROK) pathway mediates the Ca2+-sensitization of coronary arterial smooth muscle (CASM) contraction leading to vasospasm, a major cause of sudden death.
