Vision-Based Target Geo-Location Using Feature Tracking
AIAA Guidance, Navigation and Control Conference and Exhibit, 2007A method for determining the location of a fixed ground target when imaged from the air using a camera equipped Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) is developed. The ground objects’ elevation is assumed known. Rather than a “one shot” affair, multiple bearing measurements of the ground object taken as the aircraft flies around the target are used.

Autonomous Cooperative Geo-Location and Coordinated Tracking of Moving Targets
AIAA Infotech@Aerospace 2007 Conference and Exhibit, 2007This is an overview of current developments in support of autonomous geolocation and tracking of moving targets with a flock of coordinated UAVs. The Insitu Group leads a group of researchers with the aim of geolocating and tracking of ground targets. The UAVs use coordinated maneuvering to accommodate maximum sensor precision. Flock guidance logic was

Automatic target recognition and geo-location for side scan sonar imagery
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2017Ocean and lake floor survey is most efficiently conducted by active sonar owing to its favorable propagation range under water relative to other sensing modalities. Range however must be traded for resolution, yielding sonar return imagery that challenges both operator and machine to match returns to specific objects.

Persistent Visual Tracking and Accurate Geo-Location of Moving Ground Targets by Small Air Vehicles
Infotech@Aerospace 2011, 2011Small unmanned aerial vehicles are increasingly popular in many applications for their low cost, ease of use, and rapid deployment. One highly desirable capability is the pursuit of a target along a roadway while providing a persistent aerial view. This is made di cult by large UAV state uncertainty and limited maneuverability, however by carefully ...

To solve the problem it is difficult to estimate the time-varying TDOA (time difference of arrival) and FDOA (frequency difference of arrival) resulted from the movement parameters of a moving target in Dual-satellites and Tri-satellites Geo-location systems.
