Short Paper: Asynchronous programming with Tarragon

2006 15th IEEE International Conference on High Performance Distributed Computing, 2006
Tarragon is an actor-based programming model and library for implementing latency tolerant asynchronous event driven simulations. It is novel in its support for meta data describing run time virtualized process structures, which may be optimized as a free-standing object.

Without the Tarragon

Canadian Theatre Review, 1975
Under “normal” circumstances the closing of a theatre, even on a short term basis, would hardly be a promising event. Nevertheless. Bill Glassco’s decision to withdraw Toronto’s Tarragon Theatre from active production during the 1975-’76 season may prove an exception to the rule. What’s more.

Toronto The Tarragon and the Doras: a Perfect Match?

Canadian Theatre Review, 1990
The list of the nominees for the Dora Mavor Moore Awards provides an interesting comment on the way theatre has gone in Toronto. The Doras’ “small theatre division” makes some of the old alternatives seem very established. Given the Toronto Free’s transformation into the Canadian Stage they no doubt deserve it, but I get slight pangs to see Theatre ...
