Effect of salt taste threshold on cardiovascular response to isotonic exercise in young adults

open access: yes, 2018
Increased salt intake among persons with high salt taste threshold may lead to exercise-induced hypertension and eventually arterial hypertension. Salt sensitivity has been demonstrated among our populace.

Clinical Significance of Therapeutic Drug Level Monitoring for Mycophenolate in Patients With Extrarenal Systemic Lupus Erythematosus—A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Clinical response to mycophenolic acid (MPA) is highly heterogeneous; thus, therapeutic drug level monitoring (TDM) may help improve treatment efficacy. This systematic review and meta‐analysis examined therapeutic ranges for MPA levels associated with better outcomes and safety in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE ...

The addition of sweetness reduces aversion to high salt concentrations in patients with chronic kidney disease

open access: yesScientific Reports
Reducing salt intake is crucial for managing hypertension. While efforts to reduce salt intake are based on the assumption that people have a preference for salt, it is also important to acknowledge that there is an aversion to high levels of salt.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.
