Human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) was used to mimic T2DM, and Aβ42‐hIAPP co‐oligomers were delivered into the human mature cerebral organoids (COs), which reproduce typical AD pathology and significant neuronal death more closely resembling that of AD patients.

Role of taurine on acid secretion in the rat stomach
Background Taurine has chemical structure similar to an inhibitory neurotransmitter, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Previous studies on GABA in the stomach suggest GABAergic neuron is involved in acid secretion, but the effects of taurine are poor ...

ABSTRACT Biallelic pathogenic variants in AKR1D1 cause Δ4‐3‐oxosteroid 5β‐reductase deficiency, disrupt bile acid synthesis, and result in Congenital Bile Acid Synthesis defect type 2 (CBAS2). CBAS2 presents in infancy with cholestasis, coagulopathy, and failure to thrive.

ZSF1 lean rats – How healthy are they?
This study aimed to examine the health status, specifically the physiology and myocardial, vascular, and skeletal muscle function of lean ZSF1 rats by comparing them to age‐ and sex‐matched Wistar rats. Compared to Wistar controls, ZSF1 lean rats exhibited lower body weight, but showed increased heart, and skeletal muscle mass.
