Contrasted NCED gene expression across conifers with rising and peaking abscisic acid responses to drought [PDF]
Conifer trees have diverse strategies to cope with drought. They accumulate the plant hormone abscisic acid (ABA) following a range of profiles from constantly rising to peaking and falling (R- and P-type) with direct effect on foliar transpiration.

Gram-Scale Access to (3,11)-Cyclotaxanes-Synthesis of 1-Hydroxytaxuspine C. [PDF]
Belonging to the family of complex taxanes, 1‐hydroxytaxuspine C is a densely functionalized natural product. The synthesis was realized via a semisynthetic approach, starting from commercially available 10‐deacetylbaccatin III. A late‐stage photocyclization was utilized to install the characteristic transannular bond of complex taxanes, transforming ...

Spatiotemporal Distribution Patterns and Conservation Priorities of Gymnosperms With Different Leaf Shapes in China Under Climate Change. [PDF]
This study modeled the spatiotemporal distribution patterns of 71 rare gymnosperm species (including varieties) with five different leaf morphologies in China in response to climate change and found that approximately half of the species will experience significant range contractions and migrate to higher altitudes toward the northwest.
