Chemical Constituents of Taxodium mucronatum (Cupressaceae) and Some of Its Endophytic Fungi, and Their In Silico and In Vitro Evaluations as SARS‐CoV‐2 Inhibitors and as Cytotoxic Agents

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abietanes, pimaranes and cycloartanes were characterized from different plant tissues of Taxodium mucronatum. Curvularins, mycophenolic acids and ergosterol were isolated from some fungal endophytes. The isolated compounds were in silico and in vitro evaluated as antiviral and cytotoxic agents.

Cytotoxic Effects ofTaxodium distichum. Oils

open access: yesPharmaceutical Biology, 2007
AbstractThe leaves and fruits of Taxodium distichum. (L.) L. C. Rich. (Taxodiaceae) collected from Nigeria were subjected to hydrodistillation. The essential oils obtained were analyzed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The main compounds were α-pinene (60.5%) and thujopsene (17.6%) from the fruits and thujopsene (27.7%), pimara-8(14),15-

Wetland soil history shapes microbial community composition, while hydrologic disturbance alters greenhouse gas fluxes

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 17, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract While wetlands represent a small fraction (~5%–10%) of the world's land surface, it is estimated that one‐third of wetlands have been lost due to human activities. Wetland habitat loss decreases ecosystem benefits, including improved water quality and climate change mitigation.
