Complete Genome Sequence of Luteitalea sp. Strain TBR-22

open access: yesMicrobiology Resource Announcements, 2022
We report a complete genome sequence of a novel bacterial isolate, strain TBR-22, belonging to the class Vicinamibacteria of the phylum Acidobacteria , which was isolated from duckweed fronds. The genome expands our knowledge of the lifestyle of this abundant but rarely characterized phylum.

The roles of side chains in Y6‐series non‐fullerene acceptors for high‐performance organic solar cells

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
The development of organic solar cells (OSCs) has been driven by structural modifications of Y6‐series non‐fullerene acceptors. In particular, side‐chain engineering regulates solubility, molecular packing, and energy levels, enabling efficiencies to increase from 15.7% to over 20%.

A Comparison of the Effects of the Timing of Resistance Exercise on Glucose Levels Within the Target Range in People With Type 1 Diabetes (TREX Study): A Randomized Crossover Trial. [PDF]

open access: yesDiabetes Metab Res Rev
ABSTRACT Aim The purpose of this paper is to examine the acute and nocturnal glycaemic response to morning fasted, fed or afternoon fed resistance exercise in people with type 1 diabetes. Methods In a crossover RCT, people with type 1 diabetes performed three acute bouts of resistance exercise in (1) morning (8 AM–10:30 AM) in a fed state, (2) morning (

Discharge Remote Monitoring Systems for Glycemic Management After Hospital Discharge

open access: yesChronic Diseases and Translational Medicine, EarlyView.
Heat map of median number of telehealth interactions by subgroup and theme. Major themes identified included intervention after remote monitoring alerts (e.g., “Team reached out to participant and instructed participant to treat hypo.”), insulin dose adjustments (e.g., “Participant reported that prednisone dose is increasing … Called to discuss insulin

Trabecular Bone Remodeling as a New Indicator of Osteointegration After Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion

open access: yesGlobal Spine Journal
Study Design Retrospective cohort study. Objectives We newly found that trabecular bone remodeling (TBR) often appeared in the fixed adjacent vertebrae during bony fusion. Thus, TBR might indicate osteointegration.

Glycaemia in low-premixed insulin analogue type 2 diabetes patients in a real-world setting: are the CGM targets met?

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research, 2023
Background There are insufficient data on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in nonintensive insulin therapy patients. Using CGM and the recommended CGM targets, we wanted to evaluate low-premix insulin analogue therapy (biphasic aspart/NovoMix 30 and ...

Trabecular Bone Remodeling after Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion: Comparison of the Osseointegration in Three-Dimensional Porous Titanium Cages and Polyether-Ether-Ketone Cages

open access: yesGlobal Spine Journal
Study Design Retrospective cohort study. Objectives Imaging changes in the vertebral body after posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) are determined to be trabecular bone remodeling (TBR).

The role of additives in the film formation kinetics of active layers in organic solar cells: From in situ characterization to mechanistic elucidation

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
This review highlights the critical regulatory role of liquid and solid additives in the film formation kinetics of organic solar cells (OSCs) active layer. Real‐time in situ characterization technology techniques (in situ UV‐Vis, PL, GIWAXS, and GISAXS) are utilized to monitor the dynamic solution‐to‐solid transformation, revealing how additives ...

PET Assessment of Vascular Inflammation and Atherosclerotic Plaques: SUV or TBR? [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nuclear Medicine, 2015
The accurate quantification of radiotracer activity in a vascular wall plaque on PET can be problematic. Because most atherosclerotic plaques are small and exhibit complex morphology, it can be quite difficult to properly recover activity within a plaque by PET without sophisticated partial ...
