Analysis of Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor Application in Fault Current Limiter Mode [PDF]
The present paper describes and analyzes the mechanism and extent by which the Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) may be applied to limit fault currents through developing high inductive impedance under fault conditions.

Series and Shunt Reactive compensation can be used to improve voltage stability. The L‐index and Fast Voltage Stability Index are used to evaluate stability. Cost of reactive compensation is included directly in the optimization process. Multi‐objective optimization determines the optimal sizing of FACTS devices.

Thermodynamic relations for entropy and temperature of multi-horizons black holes
We present some entropy and temperature relations of multi-horizons, even including the "virtual" horizon. These relations are related to product, division and sum of entropy and temperature of multi-horizons.

ABSTRACT Reactive power compensation is now a challenging issue in maintaining adequate power quality and improving the performance of the transmission system. Many researchers have focused on the behavior of voltage in the unbalanced state, and the majority of the studies have been done with STATCOM. In this study, the increasing power demand in power
