Regularized reduced rank regression for mixed predictor and response variables
Abstract In this paper, we introduce the Generalized Mixed Regularized Reduced Rank Regression model (GMR4), an extension of the GMR3 model designed to improve performance in high‐dimensional settings. GMR3 is a regression method for a mix of numeric, binary and ordinal response variables, while also allowing for mixed‐type predictors through optimal ...

tRNA‐derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) function in digestive cancers across three scales: intracellular translational and metabolic control, extracellular vesicle–mediated immune remodeling, and systemic and host–microbe communication. This review organizes these mechanisms by evidence strength, from well‐established intracellular roles to emerging ...

Global Survey of Nutrition Education in Dental Schools: Current Practices and Opportunities
ABSTRACT Background Nutrition is central to oral health, yet curriculum content and teaching approaches vary widely across dental schools globally. Aim To characterise current nutrition education practices in dental schools worldwide, identify regional variations, explore barriers and identify opportunities for curriculum enhancement.

The MacBrain Resource Center (MBRC) rhesus macaque embryonic brain histology datasets
We introduce the MacBrain Resource Center (MBRC) Collections of rhesus macaque embryonic brain tissue. Here, we illustrate histo‐ and immunohistology from our dynamically growing Collection 6, which currently contains >10,000 zoomable and downloadable images from n = 14 male and female embryos from early to late in gestation.

The MacBrain Resource Center (MBRC) postnatal rhesus macaque brain histology datasets are organized into Collections that promote cost‐effective de novo research. This article provides examples from Collections 5, 6, and 7 and describes the histo‐ and immunohistochemical (IHC) processing of materials for Collection 6.

ABSTRACT Drought stress severely restricts rice productivity, necessitating strategies to enhance stress resilience. Here, we identify translation termination as a tunable regulatory node for stress adaptation. Using 25 rounds of SELEX, we isolated RTAR, an RNA aptamer that binds the rice eukaryotic release factor 1 (OseRF1) with nanomolar affinity ...

Practical considerations on the use of down-sized time-domain reflectometry (TDR) probes [PDF]
Nine time-domain reflectometry (TDR) probes, 2 to 10 cm long, were evaluated by comparing their measurement accuracy of TDR-pulse travel time in a sand and sandy loam soil, and electrical conductivity in NaCl solutions. TDR probes

ABSTRACT Introduction Rickettsioses and leptospirosis are infectious diseases often underdiagnosed due to limited knowledge about their epidemiology, pathophysiology, and clinical aspects. Objectives To characterize the seroprevalence and seroincidence of Rickettsia and Leptospira agents and determine their associated factors in rural areas of Urabá ...

Abstract Stability in cerebral oxygen extraction fraction (OEF) is typically determined by alterations in cerebral blood flow (CBF). At rest, arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2${P_{{\mathrm{aC}}{{\mathrm{O}}_2}}}$) and OEF exhibit a strong inverse relationship owing to the powerful influence of PaCO2${P_{{\mathrm{aC}}{{\mathrm{O}}_2}}}$
