Competition between State Universities [PDF]
We analyse how state university competition to collect resources may affect both research and the quality of teaching. By considering a set-up where two state universities behave strategically, we model their interaction with potential students as a ...

Improving Teaching Quality and Problem Solving Ability Through Contextual Teaching and Learning in Differential Equations: a Lesson Study Approach [PDF]
Differential equations is a branch of mathematics which is closely related to mathematical modeling that arises in real-world problems. Problem solving ability is an essential component to solve contextual problem of differential equations properly.

Gourd‐Inspired Design of Unit Cell with Multiple Gradients for Physiological‐Range Pressure Sensing
Gourd‐shaped micro‐dome arrays with coordinated modulus, conductivity, and geometric gradients co‐optimize sensitivity and linearity in piezoresistive tactile sensors. Under pressure, a solid upper dome embeds into a porous lower dome, triggering rapid contact‐area growth and series‐to‐parallel conduction, enabling unsaturated, intensity‐resolved ...

Students’ Perceptions of Teaching Quality
Teaching quality is an important construct related to students’ affective and cognitive outcomes. However, it is usually measured with instruments that lack a clear theoretical background and/or whose psychometric properties have not been tested with appropriate statistical procedures such as multilevel modeling. Recently, Wisniewski et al.

Flow through a nozzle is a common component of most fluid‐based polymer processing techniques such as spray drying, inkjet printing, extrusion. An ultrahigh molecular weight multi‐mechanophore system is used to probe the differences in the distribution of mechanical activation observed between nozzle flow and ultrasonication; the gold standard ...
