Combined Transfection of the Three Transcriptional Factors, PDX‐1, NeuroD1, and MafA, Causes Differentiation of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells into Insulin‐Producing Cells

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Research, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012
Aims. The goal of cell transcription for treatment of diabetes is to generate surrogate β‐cells from an appropriate cell line. However, the induced replacement cells have showed less physiological function in producing insulin compared with normal β‐cells. Methods.

Generation of Dopamine Neurons with Improved Cell Survival and Phenotype Maintenance Using a Degradation‐Resistant Nurr1 Mutant

open access: yesSTEM CELLS, Volume 27, Issue 9, Page 2238-2246, September 2009., 2009
Abstract Nurr1 is a transcription factor specific for the development and maintenance of the midbrain dopamine (DA) neurons. Exogenous Nurr1 in neural precursor (NP) cells induces the differentiation of DA neurons in vitro that are capable of reversing motor dysfunctions in a rodent model for Parkinson disease. The promise of this therapeutic approach,

Cost Minimized Immunoaffinity Purification of EPO and Its Analogs in Doping Control—A Step‐by‐Step Protocol for Human Urine and Blood

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, Volume 17, Issue 9, Page 1545-1559, September 2025.
A cost minimized immunoaffinity protocol was developed, which allows the direct purification of ERAs from human urine. After slight modification, the protocol is also applicable to serum and plasma and is fully compliant with WADA TD2024EPO. Compared to commercial EPO‐purification kits, the material costs are significantly lower.

A Multifunctional Nanodelivery System Modified by Fusion Peptides Acts as Teriparatide Carrier for Noise‐Induced Hearing Loss Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 29, August 7, 2025.
The fusion peptide LR27‐modified thermosensitive nanodelivery system exhibits both hair cell targeting and inner ear penetrating properties. This system sustainably and effectively delivers PTH1‐34 to the inner ear of a hearing loss mouse model via the synergistic effects of multiple peptides, achieving satisfactory hearing protection through ...

The Thromboxane Levels in Ovarian Follicular Fluid Are Inversely Correlated With Oocyte Maturation: Implications of PAR‐2/‐3 Cooperation and Thromboxane Participation in Follicle Development

open access: yesJournal of Cellular Physiology, Volume 240, Issue 4, April 2025.
ABSTRACT It has been reported the presence of components from the coagulation thrombin‐generating pathway and prostaglandins (PGs) in human ovarian follicular fluid (FF) but with unclear functions. Moreover, thrombin can induce COX‐2 expression linking to PG synthesis in several cell types.

Gold Placers and Placering in Arizona

open access: yes, 1961
Gold placers, or deposits such as gravel and sand which contain notable concentrations of gold, all result from the slow milling and concentration processes incident to natural erosion of pre-existing gold-bearing rocks.
