Lithics of the North African Middle Stone Age: assumptions, evidence and future directions

open access: yes, 2019
North Africa features some of the earliest manifestations of the Middle Stone Age (MSA) and fossils of our species, Homo sapiens, as well as early examples of complex culture and the long distance transfer of exotic raw materials.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Technological Transfer as cash value

open access: yesTechne
In the third mission (TM), once scientific validation through research has taken place, content specificity is of little importance so that technology transfer (TT) and public engagement (PE) in very different fields could, with very high probability, be

Gestão de Transferência de Tecnologia na Inova Unicamp [PDF]

open access: yesRAC: Revista de Administração Contemporânea, 2013
The aim of this study is to verify how Inova Unicamp manages its technology transfer (TT) process. A TT process can be understood as the passage of technology and knowledge from one organization to another (Bozeman, 2000).

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Transferência de Tecnologia [PDF]

open access: yesNavigator, 2014
Technology transfer is an expression that has passed from the technical-scientific vocabulary to the common language. In this evolution, its meaning became broader and not clearly defined, and its application much more general.

High technology in developing countries: Analysis of technology strategy, technology transfer, and success factors in the aircraft industry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Economical development is highly related to technological development. It is\ud therefore not surprising that many of the industrially developing nations follow explicit strategies to increase their technological competence level. Industrially developing

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Apple phenotyping using deep learning and 3D depth analysis: An experimental study on fruitlet sizing during early development

open access: yesSmart Agricultural Technology
Current research in apple-growing focuses on collecting extensive biometric data to better understand physiological processes, improve orchard productivity and predict yields. In this context, fruit thinning has emerged as a key horticultural practice to
