Persistent Knowledge Specialisation and Intra-Industry Heterogeneity: an Analysis of the Spanish Pharmaceutical Industry [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper aims to contribute to the analysis of within industry inter-firm variety. Building upon the knowledge-based theory of the firm (Nelson and Winter, 1982; Penrose, 1959; Fransman, 1994), this paper develops two themes.

Patient‐Derived 3D Heart‐On‐a‐Chip Model of Dilated Cardiomyopathy With Embedded Bead‐Based Mapping of Tissue Contractility

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A heart‐on‐a‐chip model of dilated cardiomyopathy is developed from patient‐derived induced pluripotent stem cells. The model recapitulates key disease phenotypes and enables functional assessment through integrated bead‐based tracking and pillar deflection measurements.

[Pharmaceutical technology of Tensiomin].

open access: yesActa pharmaceutica Hungarica, 1997
The physical chemical properties, stability and incompatibility of captopril (the active ingredient of Tensiomin tablets) have been discussed. Captopril has two polimorphic crystal modifications, the form I. of higher melting point is applied in the therapy.

Lonicera japonica‐Derived Nanovesicles Ameliorate Acute Lung Injury by Suppressing Neutrophil Extracellular Traps Formation in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
(A) Isolation and purification of LDNVs. (B) Establishment of the ALI model and LDNVs delivery. (C) Therapeutic mechanisms of LDNVs in treating ALI. This scheme figure was drawn by Figdraw, ID: IUIIO21222. ABSTRACT Acute lung injury (ALI) is a lethal respiratory disease.

Internal basic research, external basic research and the technological performance of pharmaceutical firms. [PDF]

open access: yes
We evaluate the impact of basic research on pharmaceutical firms’ technological performance, distinguishing between internal basic research and the exploitation of external basic research findings.

Engineered Microvascular Model of the Blood–Brain–Tumor Barrier Reveals Endothelial Remodeling in Diffuse Midline Glioma

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a patient‐derived, functional microfluidic model of the diffuse midline glioma (DMG) blood–brain–tumor barrier (BBTB) comprised of endothelial cells, astrocytes, pericytes, and tumor cells. The system forms perfusable microvasculature, reveals the BBTB retains vascular integrity, identifies DMG‐specific transcriptomic changes distinct from

Tomographic Printing in a Chip: A Versatile Platform for Biomimetic 3D Organ‐on‐Chip

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A novel light‐based bioprinting approach, TVAM‐in‐a‐chip, enables rapid, contactless fabrication of biomimetic 3D organ‐on‐chip devices directly within preassembled microfluidic platforms. This strategy supports diverse materials, including cell‐laden resins, and eliminates post‐assembly steps.

[Pharmaceutical technology of Grandaxin].

open access: yesActa pharmaceutica Hungarica, 1993
The physical chemical properties, stability and incompatibility of tofizopam (the active ingredient of Grandaxin tablet) were investigated. Tofizopam has low water solubility therefore experiments were made to increase it. The behaviour of tofizopam in acidic medium was studied and the degradation rates of it were determined at different pH.
