Asymmetry in ENSO teleconnection with regional rainfall, its multidecadal variability, and impact
An asymmetry, and its multidecadal variability, in a rainfall teleconnection with the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) are described. Further, the breakdown of this relationship since 1980 is offered as a cause for a rainfall reduction in an ENSO ...

Teleconnection Pathways of ENSO and the IOD and the Mechanisms for Impacts on Australian Rainfall
Impacts of El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and the Indian Ocean dipole (IOD) on Australian rainfall are diagnosed from the perspective of tropical and extratropical teleconnections triggered by tropical sea surface temperature (SST) variations.

THE INFLUENCE OF CHANGES IN TELECONNECTION PATTERN TRENDS ON TEMPERATURE AND PRECIPITATION TRENDS IN NORTHEASTERN ROMANIA [PDF]
The influence of changes in teleconnection pattern trends on temperature and precipitation trends in northeastern Romania. Influence of changes in teleconnection patterns on temperature and precipitation have been identified in many studies performed at ...

On the robustness of ENSO teleconnections [PDF]
Using observations covering the last 128 years we show that apparent changes in El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) teleconnections can be explained by chance and stem from sampling variability. This result is backed by experiments in which an atmosphere model is driven by 123 years of observed sea surface temperature.

Characterisation of Drought and Wet Events in the Paraíba do Sul River Basin—Brazil
Trend analysis identified statistically significant reductions in precipitation (at the 5% significance level) at specific pluviometric stations in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, while other areas, mainly in Minas Gerais, experienced significant increases in annual and seasonal rainfall, particularly during summer and spring. These significant trends at

Afro-Eurasian intermediate-frequency teleconnection and modulation by ENSO
The Afro-Eurasian intermediate-frequency atmospheric teleconnection conveys meteorological signals zonally, leads to various atmospheric variations, and causes extreme events along its path.

To analyze the different morphologies of Rossby wave breaking over Eastern Siberia and their relationships with the anomalous patterns of temperature and precipitation that cause unseasonable midsummer weather conditions over Japan, we performed regression analyses against the interannual variabilities of the anticyclonic and cyclonic Rossby wave ...
